Public Broadcasting System's "Juggling Work and Family": PBS's website offers ongoing news, insight and analysis of work-family issues which were highlighted in a broadcast earlier this year. This website includes links and resources for employers and employees.

Three initiatives in Alfred P. Sloan Foundation's "Standards of Living and Economic Performance" Program, look at work-family issues.

• "Workplace, Workforce and Working Families" is designed to enhance scholarly, business and public understanding of issues faced by working families.
• "Workplace Structure and Opportunity" focuses on describing and understanding how the conditions of work in certain industries or types of workplaces affect employees abilities to handle the demands of work and family; and to propose ways the workplace can be restructured to meet the company goals and also allow employees more options for work hours and part-time work arrangements.
• Their research program, "Working Families and Everyday Life," has three goals to create a community of scholars studying working families; to produce a body of scholarship on working families; and to produce insights into what life is like for dual-earner middle class families. Past Foundation grants have supported the establishment of six Sloan Centers on Working Families
