Four screens (options 16 - 19) on the Field Tax Menu are relevant to the
audit program.
Those four screens are:
- FTO - Productivity Statistics Screen
- FTQ - Audit Quota Entry Screen
- FTS - Employer Call-in Appointment Screen
- FTV - Audit Quota Display Screen.
Menu Format:

Purpose: Information displayed in the lower left-quadrant of the
Productivity Statistics Screen relates to the audit program. The data indicates
the number of completed audits keyed to the Agency's mainframe system. Data
may be requested for an individual Accounts Examiner or for a Tax Area.

Special Hints for Using the Productivity Statistics Screen:
- Enter an Accounts Examiner number or a Tax Area number, but not both.
- Audit data is displayed, as well as assignment data pertaining to other
areas of the Tax program.

The number of completed audits keyed to the Agencys mainframe
computer during the current year (January 1 December 31). |
| ANNUAL VARIANCE: |
The difference between the yearly audit quota and the number of completed
audits keyed during the current year. |
Purpose: These two screens are used to enter and to view audit quotas.
The FTQ - Audit Quota Entry screen is used to enter audit quotas for the
eight tax regions. It is also used to enter audit quotas for each individual
Accounts Examiner. Monthly average quotas or quarterly quotas may be set
for each Accounts Examiner. After the quotas are entered, they may be viewed
by accessing the FTV - Audit Quota Display screen. Corrections or changes
to the audit quotas are made by returning to the FTQ - Audit Quota Entry
screen and entering another number.

Special Hints for Using the Audit Quota Entry and Display Screens:
- FTQ. Entering an audit quota for an Accounts Examiner:
Key an AE number. Enter the yearly audit quota (January 1 - December 31).
Press Enter and the yearly quota is divided by 12 for an average monthly
quota, or by 4 for an average quarterly quota.
- FTQ. Entering an audit quota for each Tax region:
Yearly audit quotas are entered by the Audit Program Administrator. That
number is divided by 12 for an average monthly quota.
- FTV. Display audit quota for an Accounts Examiner :
Key an AE number and press Enter.
- FTV. Display the audit quota for a Tax region: On a blank screen, press
Enter.
Screen Format:

Purpose: This screen is an on-line list of two types of letters (Audit notification letters and call-in appointment letters) that were requested by the Accounts Examiner.

Special Hints for Using the Call-In Appointment Schedule Screen:
- Pre-audit and post-audit notification letters are requested through
the Select Letters Screen in the mainframe audit system (FA20).
- Information displayed on this screen is temporary. When the scheduled
date for the audit passes, the data drops out of the tax system and cannot
be retrieved. If a permanent record of the audit date and time is needed,
print this screen before the audit date passes.
