STOPS are used to prevent certain actions from occurring on an employer's account. These actions
include delinquent tax collection, rate changes and the production of statements.
Accounts examiners will need to place a 02 Status 30 day stop when working accounts with C-6A to change
to reimbursing. The stop should be added as soon as we become aware of the C-6A.
Otherwise: Status accounts examiners rarely encounter a situation where a STOP is necessary. If you should
encounter a situation where a STOP is deemed appropriate, consult your supervisor for review.
The Stop Information Screen (access command TSI)
displays all STOP information for a particular
account. This screen will list all STOPS placed
on a particular account and also list a STOP history
for that account. The STOP history will remain
on the STOP INFORMATION SCREEN for 21 quarters.
Information on TSI will include:
- Stop Date - The date the STOP was placed, in
chronological order.
- Release Date - The date the STOP will be released.
- Stop Code/Reason - Number code and a short
description of STOP reason.
- Days - Number of days the STOP has been or
was in effect.
- Accounts Examiner - The last name of the examiner
who placed the STOP.

TSR) will allow an examiner to add a STOP, release
a STOP or adjust the release date on a STOP.
